Cadillac being one of the oldest automobile manufacturers has always contributed the industry with some excellent models, for decades. The Escalade model from Cadillac is one such model that has been appreciated by car lovers all over the world. And now the Escalade has stepped into its 2019 year model with loads of goodies stored in it. When we test drove the new Escalade at the Apple Valley Cadillac dealer showroom, the model left us with some long lasting impressions that prompted us to count it among our list of favorites. And here is a glimpse of that impression we felt like sharing.
The 2019 Cadillac Escalade comes in the category of full-size luxury SUVs, but it still holds on to some nostalgia of older models, that is deeply appreciated by a particular sect of people who hold the theory “old is gold”.
The Retro Look
The 2019 Escalade shares a lot in common with its Chevy rival model Tahoe and Suburban especially when you look at its exterior that carries the retro styling. But that didn’t hold the 2019 Escalade back from offering its users an array of modern technology features, a lavishly drawn interior. all joining hands to make every riding experience to be a smooth one.
Trims and Power Options
The 2019 Cadillac Escalade can be seen almost repeating the same configurations of last year under the hood of every trim model, except for the newly introduced Sport Package that has been offered as an optional feature on most of its trims. The package is opted by those who want to see their Escalade trim in a blacked-out appearance.
For 2019, Cadillac continues to keep the lineup of Escalade to be the same trims, named as Base, Luxury, Premium Luxury, and tony Platinum. The lineup of the 2019 Cadillac Escalade is built up in two sizes: one being the standard and the other with long-wheelbased one named as Escalade ESV, that has an increased cargo room to a considerable size allotted behind the third seating row.
For power the 2019 Escalade turns to a 6.2-liter V-8 engine that is able to churn out a whopping 420 count of horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque that itself is indicative of the command you can have on road. To make this happen, Cadillac issues a 10-speed automatic transmission to the powerful engine to have a better control on the vehicle. The Escalade is mainly configured as rear-wheel drive, though you can have the all-wheel drive as an option. All this helps the 2019 year model of Cadillac Escalade stand confident as an ideal trailer-hauling vehicle that as all the mechanisms in place to silently soak up all the road imperfections with a remarkable poise.
