Porsche is one of the brightest brand name in the segment of sports cars. The brand has been recently celebrating the tenth anniversary of its flagship model Panamera, and that’s the reason why people are expecting some interesting changes in this series, that was already standing in the first row of most appreciated sports cars.

Rumors are spreading fast that Porsche is all set to expand the lineup of the 2020 Panamera with the introduction of a new coupe as well as convertible versions, while the regular version will most probably go through a makeover. Sources say that these changes will most likely bring back a design that will parallel the other newly launched Porsche models like its updated sibling Cayenne and the 992-generation of the 911. However, we got an internal information from a reliable source who is associated with a famous sports car dealer that these changes would go much beyond only cosmetic ones.

Recharging the Lineup for 2020

As we have already mentioned that regarding Porsche Panamera that is going to be launched as its 2020 edition very soon might have a recharge done in its lineup. That being said, we want to emphasize the fact that it is true that Porsche has plans to introduce its first ever mild-hybrid powertrain that will join the 2020 lineup of Panamera. Dividing its capabilities and feature options into ten trims and ten configurations, the 2020 lineup of the Porsche Panamera lines up as Base S, Trim 4, 4dr, 4 Executive. Trim 10 Years Edition. Trim: 4S, 4S Executive. and GTS.

Among these the S and 4S models share the same 2.9-liter twin-turbo V6 engine while both models are most likely to receive a 48-volt electrical architecture to enhance its performance score and reliability.

Improved Interior

The changes will also cover the inside story of the 2020 Porsche Panamera with better quality materials and a host of more refined technologies to enhance the design changes as well as improvement of the infotainment section attuned to the latest driver assist features.

Changes Under the Hood

There is a rumor saying that the mild-hybrid system will get some new mechanisms instilled in it, that will include a well-integrated motor generator in order to harvest  all the accumulated electrical power for a boost in its performance and fuel efficiency by allowing the start-stop technology to get activated very soon.

We can expect the same lineup variants to carry over for the 2020 lineup of Porsche Panamera, but improvements and changes can be seen more under the hood to boost up the already exciting performance. The changes can be visible more significantly on the GTS trims featuring a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 engine that can produce 454 hp and 457 lb-ft of torque while the Turbo models will get an increased output of 542 hp and 568 lb-ft of torque.

But we have to wait to witness the final changes for the 2020 year lineup of Panamera till Porsche announces its release date, says a seller at a well-known sport car dealership showroom.
